FUMC-Benton Spring Arts Festival

The festival will be held indoors, in the Christian Life Center (corner of Market and Sevier Street in downtown Benton) on Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28. The festival will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. The doors to the CLC will be locked at night, so booths can be left up overnight.
Eligibility:
All artists 18 years of age and older are invited to participate. All media will be considered, including:
Oil
Acrylic
Watercolor
Graphite
Charcoal
Wood
Metal
Photography
Digital Imagery
Clay and porcelain
Fabric
Fine jewelry
Artistic quilts
Artists must submit 4-6 samples of their work in the form of digital images (1200 dpi on the longest side recommended). Images may be uploaded at http://onlyoriginals.org/submit_to_benton_festival.html or mailed on a CD to:

Please include a sheet or document listing the entries, along with size and media.
Artists without computer access may send 5 x 7” photographs.
Acceptance:
All entries must be received by March 15, 2012. Entries will be judged for appropriateness by The Fine Arts Ministry. All work will be viewed by a wide audience that includes children, so no nudes or very disturbing images please. Although we want to accommodate as many artists as possible, space is limited. All accepted artists will be notified by or before April 1.
Cost:
Accepted artists will be required to pay a nonrefundable $20 fee to reserve a 10’ x 10’ space. FUMC will provide one large table for the display of artwork. The artist must supply any additional tables, easels, or display systems.
Commission:
None
Liability:
FUMC cannot be held liable for artwork damaged or otherwise lost during the festival. Since the doors to the CLC will be locked at night, artists will have the option of leaving their displays up overnight.
