Picture
The painting Dolphin is an original work created by Carol Anna Fullerton Samsel, an artist residing in Haskell, Arkansas.

Sennelier Artists Artist Oil Pastels were used to create this 12" W x 9” H piece.  Multiple Layers of Prismacolor Premier matte fixative were applied to the finished piece to minimize smudging.  The substrate is Fredrix canvas, double primed with acrylic gesso.  The underlying color ground is a wash of artist grade acrylic.

The work was created in 2008, and is signed CaFSamsel within the image area.

Although quality materials were utilized, all artwork is subject to deterioration over time.  To increase longevity, never display the work in direct sunlight or under bright fluorescent lighting.  Because the image surface can be easily damaged, pastels are best displayed behind glass, with a mat separating artwork from pane.  So as to prevent damage from excessive moisture, hang such work on an interior wall away from, and not adjoining, a bathroom. Oil pastel is heat‑sensitive. Do not display beneath hot lights or heat vents.
