The painting Night Vision is an original work created by Carol Anna Fullerton Samsel, an artist residing in Haskell, Arkansas.
Artist grade acrylic paint was used to create this 11” H x 15” W piece. The substrate is Arches Aquarelle, cold pressed, 300 lb, 100% cotton watercolor paper. The paper is acid free, buffered with an antimicrobial agent to help resist mildew, and has been triple primed with acrylic gesso. The piece has been sealed with Lascaux Transparentlack 2-UV varnish to reduce fading and protect the painted surface from minor abrasions.
Night Vision was created in 2008, and is signed on the back. It was exhibited during a solo exhibition at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library (Benton AR) in 2009.
Although quality materials were utilized, all artwork is subject to deterioration over time. To increase longevity, never display the work in direct sunlight or under bright fluorescent lighting. Works on paper are best displayed behind glass, with a mat separating artwork from pane. So as to prevent damage from excessive moisture, hang such work on an interior wall away from, and not adjoining, a bathroom.
